great food cool quirkiness small room one beam
The food was great. I had both breakfast and dinner. The hotel has a cool quirkiness that shows its history. I just needed to be careful on the stairs.
The room was really small, maybe half the size it should have been. The bathroom took up the rest of the space and , made it worse. There was ONE beam in the room, and I had to duck to get to the window.

superb staff comfortable room modern facilities
The staff were superb, finding a dinner table in the bustling restaurant. our family room featured excellent size and comfort. The kids adored the wonky staircases. the room included attention to detail in decor, in keeping with the hotel's age, though facilities were modern.
The bedroom lamp showed dust, visible on the wall. The coffee machine needed cleaning.
